Laura Adams

Born and raised in Minnesota, I escaped the harsh winters and moved to Florida in 1998. Briefly attending the University of South Florida before slowly discovering my love for web design. Self-taught, I spent night after night viewing the source code of web sites until I could write my own basic HTML and CSS code. By early 2001, I had purchased and published my first web site. However, marriage and life in general would soon put this passion on the back-burner for a couple years…

After a cross-country move, and with some encouragement, I tried my hand at college again in 2004. This time focusing on something I loved: Web Design

From 2004 to 2007, I was actively involved in the Key Volunteer Network, with the Marine Corps, while attending college full-time. As a military spouse, I dedicated countless hours to the achievement of family readiness both before, during, and after deployments. It was amid this time, I was appointed to the role of Coordinator by the Commanding Officer; nominated for numerous awards including Volunteer of the Year and received the Presidential Service Award, as well as attended the Leadership Education Seminar. My valuable skills and ease with which I spoke to fellow spouses helped to create a strong network of women who endured multiple deployments and developed lifelong friendships.

Since my days as a military spouse, I have been a supporter of military veterans and families. I’m also a strong advocate for Pit Bull Rescue organizations with deep emotional ties as “mom” to rescues.

In 2005, I earned my Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design; and in 2008, I graduated summa cum laude with my Bachelor of Science in Web Design. It wasn’t long before casual conversations with friends turned into business relationships and networking. My first client was a local tanning salon who then recommended me to another. From there on, networking has garnered me the majority of my clients. I take great pride in the service I provide and, in doing so, have retained many of my clients for over 15 years.

The world is a place of beauty and magic in the eyes of a DREAMER. Where others see facts and figures, you see symbols, metaphors, and hidden meanings.
